Milpitas police find loaded handgun, high-capacity magazines during car stop

MILPITAS — A 20-year-old Milpitas man was arrested last week
after officers allegedly found an unregistered handgun and several
high-capacity magazines in his car, authorities said.

The weapon and magazines were discovered about 8:45 p.m. Jan. 3,
when an officer stopped Sebastian Santillan for running a stop sign
at Arizona Avenue and Dixon Road, Milpitas police said in a news
release Thursday.

Santillan told the officer he had a firearm in his car,
according to police. Additional officers were summoned to the scene
