RIYADH: The first Saudi film to screen at the Sundance Film
Festival Dunya’s Day is premiering at Vox Cinemas in Riyadh Park
on Thursday.
Raed Alsemari’s Dunya’s Day will compete in the International
Shorts section in January 2019.
The film, which features an all-female cast, is a comedy set in an
affluent suburb of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It follows Dunya on the
day of her graduation party when all domestic staff disappear just
hours before her guests arrive.
